Jakarta, August 18, 2026 — IDSurvey Group has delivered 2.4 tons of humanitarian assistance through Indonesia’s National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) to help meet the basic needs of communities affected by the earthquake in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). The assistance is intended for seven regencies: Manggarai, East Manggarai, West Manggarai, Sikka, Ende, Ngada, and Nagekeo.
The support was mobilized through collaboration among PT Inspeksi Sertifikasi dan Survey Indonesia or IDSurvey (Persero), PT Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia (Persero), PT SUCOFINDO (Persero), and PT Surveyor Indonesia (Persero). This humanitarian initiative forms part of a collective effort by State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) under Danantara Indonesia to support emergency response and the recovery of communities affected by the disaster in NTT.
The assistance was handed over by the Heads of the Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) Units of IDSurvey Group through BNPB’s National Logistics Support Post at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in Jakarta. Distribution through BNPB is intended to ensure that the assistance is integrated into the national disaster management system and can be allocated according to the needs and priorities of each affected area.
According to data from the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), an earthquake with an updated magnitude of 7.7 occurred on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 4:58 a.m. Western Indonesia Time. The shallow earthquake, with a depth of 15 kilometers, was centered offshore approximately 30 kilometers northeast of Nagekeo, NTT. The impact of the disaster and the series of aftershocks have kept humanitarian assistance and emergency response supplies among the main priorities.
“Disaster response requires speed, accuracy, and coordination. As part of the broader family of SOEs under Danantara Indonesia, IDSurvey Group is working to ensure that the support collected by all entities can be delivered through a coordinated mechanism and in accordance with needs on the ground,” said IDSurvey Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Sinung Triwulandari.
The assistance includes blankets, tents, basic necessities, toiletries, medicines, and baby food. The composition of the aid was prepared to support the fulfillment of basic community needs, particularly for groups requiring additional protection and assistance during the emergency response period.
Under BNPB’s distribution scheme, the assistance is being channeled through two main command posts. The Labuan Bajo Post serves West Manggarai, Manggarai, East Manggarai, and Ngada, while the Maumere Post serves Sikka, Ende, and Nagekeo. This mechanism is expected to support targeted distribution in line with the specific needs of each region.
The collective SOE initiative coordinated by Danantara Indonesia covers the provision of basic necessities, restoration of public services, strengthening of disaster response posts, and assessment of communities’ further needs. Assistance from IDSurvey Group complements various forms of support provided by other SOEs in accordance with their respective capacities and areas of expertise.
Through its TJSL programs, IDSurvey Group remains committed to providing contributions that are relevant to community needs, including during disaster situations, by prioritizing collaboration among entities and coordination with the relevant institutions.
IDSurvey Group extends its sympathy to all communities affected by the earthquake in NTT. The assistance is expected to help ease the burden on survivors while supporting the emergency response and recovery process across the seven affected regencies.
