Indonesia’s strategic industries face persistent challenges in safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, creating a critical need for credible and reliable assurance institutions. To address these national priorities, the Government established specialized state-owned enterprises to safeguard public safety, support industrial competitiveness, and align domestic practices with international standards. In the maritime sector, Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia (BKI) was formed as the national ship classification body, mandated to ensure vessel safety, seaworthiness, and regulatory compliance through classification, statutory certification, offshore engineering verification, and risk assessment supporting maritime reliability, green shipping, and decarbonization initiatives. Across industrial, environmental, and trade ecosystems, SUCOFINDO and Surveyor Indonesia play complementary roles in strengthening national quality infrastructure. SUCOFINDO delivers comprehensive testing, inspection, certification, laboratory, environmental, and sustainability services to help industries meet global standards across sectors such as energy, minerals, halal assurance, and environmental compliance. Meanwhile, Surveyor Indonesia ensures integrity in trade and industrial development through inspection, verification, engineering consultancy, and conformity assessment, while advancing key national programs including TKDN and P3DN to deepen local supply chains and enhance economic resilience. To strengthen institutional capacity and elevate Indonesia’s global competitiveness, Danantara Indonesia established IDSurvey as the strategic holding for survey and assurance services. Following shareholder approval on 23 June 2025, BKI, SUCOFINDO, and Surveyor Indonesia were consolidated under PT Inspeksi Sertifikasi dan Survey Indonesia (IDSurvey). Acting as a strategic orchestrator rather than a front-line operator, IDSurvey drives integration, digital transformation, and focused excellence across the group—upholding safety, quality, sustainability, and innovation to protect communities, empower industries, and support Indonesia’s long-term economic transformation.
